Polk County Sheriff's Office gets a website!

The Polk County Sheriff's Office's website didn't need a "sprucing up", nor did they need new and interesting features added; they just plain needed a website. kiveo worked with PCSO to come up with a design that reflected a small town feel, but with all of the functionality of a "big city" site. A main goal expressed by the Sheriff's Office was the ability to easily share pertinent information with the citizens and visitors of Polk County in a manner that was easy for the staff to maintain as well as providing timely updates.

kiveo Back Story Contest

New contest!

Objective:

The proper noun 'kiveo' is a name we made up. It is pronounced kih-vee-oh (with a short i, long e, long o). We need a grandiose backstory. Preferably something involving a grandparent, overcoming adversity and a dying Amazonian (or Papua-New Guinean) rain forest shaman's last wishes. Ok, maybe that's shooting too high, but we'll take what we can get.

Tryon Daily Bulletin

kiveo was proud to be selected by the High Tech Housecall, local designer Thomas Oder, and Tryon Daily Bulletin team to re-vamp the "World's Smallest Daily Newspaper's" website. Working with the team of editors and staff from HTHC and Tryon Daily Bulletin, we believe we came up with a site that reflects the feel of the physical paper - originally pamphlet sized, and not much bigger today, and meets the end users needs. The paper had this to say in an article published today:

A Little Subversion Diversion

When our good friend Darrin, also a contributor to NYTimes and Washington Post Editorials on money matters, came to us and said, "Hey, you know what would be fun? A site for people to let out their grievances about banks," we said, "Let's do this."
